Yes – it is politically correct to say “Obamacare.”  The President himself claimed he liked the term Obamacare. As with most laws, there will always be underlying political tensions over word choices.

The health care reform law is also referred to as the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”, often shortened to the “ACA” or the “Affordable Care Act.”  Most news outlets have gravitated toward using the term Obamacare because, quite simply, it is the most common term that Americans associate with the law.
