What do I need to start?
In order to begin the ARMHS application process, providers should have a licensed mental health professional (usually an LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) who has completed the pre-req training.
The provider also needs an administrative staff member to complete the administrative ARMHS Information Seminar session. These sessions must be completed and up-to-date prior to the application being submitted.
When/Timeline?
Onboarding is generally within 2 days of free initial consultation. Package is usually complete within 8 months unless delays due to our calendars not lining up or DHS, and lingering legal questions are covered beyond that timeline.

FAQs
Is there a way to expedite this process?
Not directly, as long as the client is promptly responding with accurate information this is primarily in DHS’s hands.
Who can be the treatment supervisor?
A licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP, PMHNP – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
You may also hear the terms Clinical Supervisor, Clinician, Mental Health Professional, etc.
What are mock files? Do I need them?
YES, mock files are required – This is a required clinical documentation for providing ARMHS services such as a Functional Assessment, DIagnostic Assessment, Individual Treatment Plan, etc)
Who needs to take the ARMHS seminar? (Offered Quarterly)
At least 1 representative (preferably an owner) needs to take the Administrative session. The Treatment supervisor will need to complete the clinical session.
Registration information is linked here.
Can we submit the application before we attend the seminar?
NO.
Do you help with insurance credentialing?
No, only MA through DHS provider enrollment. Referral provided.
Do I need an office?
No, a home office is sufficient as long as you have a system in place to keep sensitive information safe (spare room that has a lock, password protected computer, etc)
Keep in mind that no other Medicaid-disclosing entities may share the same business address.
Do you help us find clients?
No, we do not. We do however highly recommend the ARMHS provider meeting group. This is a great resource for new ARMHS providers. (not typically suggested until ARMHS application is submitted)
